Mr. Olatunde Olagbaiye

Mr. Olatunde Olagbaiye, LLB, LLM, CCST, graduated from the University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University) with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in the Second Class Upper division in 1980, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Lagos in 1984.

He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1981 and was subsequently enrolled as a Barrister & Solicitor and Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2001. He is a Notary Public for both jurisdictions.

He has had extensive and varied experience in law practice as a private legal practitioner, law lecturer (University of Lagos) and also as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.  Part of his journey through banking was an exciting stretch in midwifing operations and customer service excellence, for which Guaranty Trust Bank became famous and an industry reference point.

 

Mr. Olagbaiye is a contributing editor to the Digest of Nigerian Supreme Court Cases published by Deji Sasegbon  & Co. and widely used by judges and legal practitioners. His consulting experience began in 1985 when he started training bankers through the Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC). He has trained over 20,000 bankers and other professionals to date in Nigeria and across East and West Africa in Ghana, Liberia, Gambia, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo. He passionately loves imparting knowledge and is a respected authority in delivering the following (among others):

Bank, Keystone Bank, Ecobank, First Bank, Union Bank, Lotus Bank, AXA Mansard Insurance and Afyacare Ltd (HMO).
